If you are applying in the Graduate Trainee subcategory then you will need to show that the role you are applying for is part of a structured graduate training programme, with clearly defined progression towards a managerial or specialist role within the organisation.
You will need to show that you have a job offer in the UK from an employer that holds a Sponsor License. The organisation you are transferring from must be listed as a linked entity on the Sponsor’s licence.
Your sponsor must be listed as A-rated on the Home Office’s register of licensed sponsors.
Your Certificate of Sponsorship must have been issued not more than 3 months before the date of your Intra-Company Graduate Trainee visa application.
Your sponsor must also not have assigned more than 20 Certificates of Sponsorship to Intra-Company Graduate Trainees, including your own, in the financial year in which your CoS was assigned.
Requirements to be met
You are aged 18 or over;
You are currently employed by an organisation that has been approved by the Home Office as a sponsor;
You have worked for your sponsor for at least 3 months immediately before the date you apply;
You have a valid Certificate of Sponsorship issued by your sponsor for the job;
The job you are planning to do is genuine;
The job you are planning to do is at an appropriate skill level;
You will be paid at least £23,000 or 70% of the ‘going rate’ for your job, whichever is higher;
Your sponsor has paid any required Immigration Skills Charge;
You have enough money to support yourself without relying on public funds;
You have provided a valid TB certificate.
Maximum length of stay
You can stay in the UK with an Intra-company Graduate Trainee visa for whichever is shorter of:
The time given on your certificate of sponsorship plus 14 days
The length of time that takes you to the maximum total stay allowed
You cannot extend your visa, but you can apply for another Intra-company Graduate Trainee visa from outside the UK. You have to have been working for your sponsor outside the UK for at least 3 months immediately before the date you apply.
The maximum total stay allowed for an Intra-company Graduate Trainee visa is 5 years in any 6 year period. If you have already been in the UK with an Intra-company visa before your application, that time will be included in your total stay.
You will need to have enough money to support yourself without relying on public funds. The amount of funds held at least £1270.
You will need to have held the money for at least 28 consecutive days ending not more than 31 days before the date of your Visa application.
You will be exempt from the financial requirement if your sponsor is willing to meet your maintenance costs up to the end of the first month of your employment.
The UK Intra-Company Graduate Trainee Visa does not lead to settlement in the UK. However, you may be able to switch into another immigration route which does lead to settlement.
